Mycoff Fry Partners and its predecessor companies, Mycoff Fry & Prouse and Mycoff & Associates were founded in 1974 as a retained search firm focused in the utility industries. In 2019, our name changed to Mycoff Fry Partners LLC. We are a boutique firm with a staff of six.

The firm has become a recognized leader in the recruitment of executives, management personnel, and industry experts for the electric, natural gas, and water industries. We are typically selected by clients who require executive search services from a firm with substantive knowledge of the industries listed. Our clients include:

  • Public power utilities such as municipally-owned utilities, public power districts and municipally-owned joint action agencies
  • Cooperatives, including rural distribution and generation & transmission (G&T) cooperatives
  • Investor-owned utilities
  • Transmission companies
  • Independent system operators
  • Non-utility generators
  • Reliability organizations
  • Energy marketers
  • Consultants who serve the listed industries

We maintain an extensive database of over 25,000 executives, management personnel and industry experts in virtually every region of the country.

We successfully completed assignments for Presidents and Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers, and various industry experts. Since inception, we assisted in the selection of over 190 industry chief executives and hundreds of senior officers.

We are proud of the repeat business we enjoy with our clients, which we feel is the true measure of performance.

MFP Connect - Workforce Solutions

Due to the broadening needs of our clients in the arena of temporary management and executive personnel support, Mycoff Fry Partners formed MFP Connect, which utilizes Mycoff Fry Partners' broad network to locate executive and management level experts, typically early retirees with a proven record of success, to fill a variety of client needs.  As workforce scarcity issues continue to grip the marketplace, we anticipate an increasing desire for such support.

MFP Connect also formed a joint venture with Hometown Connections designed to match early-retired executives with public power utilities to fill critical skills or leadership gaps on a short-term or interim basis. This partnership is also now engaged in compensation studies.

MFP Connect can provide experienced talent to fulfill any of the following client needs:

  • Fill vacant positions during a recruitment process
  • Function in short-term, but critical, roles
  • Lead special projects
  • Mentor and train existing employees by transferring years of specialized knowledge and experience

If you have interest in interim and/or contract work, or are a client in need of interim talent to help with business operations and development of your internal human resources, please contact us directly.
